100% opportunity bull moose

We are very lucky to live beside one of the best moose zones in Alberta. The population is very good in this 100 mile by 100 mile bush zone. Resident hunter numbers are regulated to keep moose numbers strong. I have done moose hunts in this area since 1997 we offer 3 hunts all are successful you choose which one suits you best.

Lodge rut hunt – Late September to early October
This is a high success moose hunt that is run out of our main lodge. This hunt takes place during the peak of rut, so bull moose cooperate well with our calling. This hunt also takes place in a high density of moose where bulls will average 40 inches wide.

Trophy moose rut hunt – For this hunt we concentrate on bulls over 45 inches and have the option of more remote areas. Outfitter tents or campers will be used on this hunt. Due to limited access the bulls have proved to be older and bigger on average. Each year we take a few bulls over 50 inches with our average being 45 inch.

Nov 2nd rut hunt – This hunt takes place 1st week of November and take place during the 2nd rut. The advantages of this hunt are frozen ground better access, snow for locating and tracking big bulls, less cows in heat for big bulls.

Best guides in the business and we work as a team.

Picture yourself in Alberta’s remote northern boreal forest over looking a peaceful beaver meadow in pursuit of a trophy moose…what an amazing adventure! Boss Outfitting offers 2 kinds of moose hunting excursions to accommodate a variety of hunters.

September-October Calling Season During The Prime Moose Rut:
In September and October moose respond well to calling and can be taken with both bow and rifle. Rifle hunters regularly achieve up to 80% success on a good size bull that can have a 60” spread or better. Other hunters are rarely encountered in our area because it is so isolated and hard to access, thus making the moose hunting amazing. A September moose hunt can be combined with black bear and wolf to make the most of you trip to Canada.

All terrain vehicles and Argos will be the main sources of transportation. In some cases 4X4 trucks will be used. Our hunts will range from 7 to 10 days.

November:
Our November hunts enable us to access areas, where one normally would not venture in the calling season. With the ground frozen, we head into zones where some trophy moose have seldom encountered another hunter. These hunts are generally more difficult because of the extreme temperatures that can occur. In these remote camps, your chances of harvesting a very large bull moose are increased.

On the snow, we will travel, looking for feeding moose and fresh sign in logging cuts and creek bottoms. In November, travelling into the home of the moose is made easy by snowmobiles. We can travel much greater distances than we can in September and October, accessing areas that are rarely, if ever, hunted. Hunting this virgin territory can yield some magnificent trophies. We can combo this hunt with baited wolf or bison. Our hunts will range from 7 to 10 days.

Contact us to book your next moose hunt with us. We're sure it will be an exciting adventure!

Mike's Outfitting Ltd. is an Alberta big game hunting outfit owned and operated by Mike & Jen Ukrainetz.

What do you get on a moose hunt with Mike's Outfitting?

  • A fun, exciting hunt for the largest big game animal in North America
  • An area that has a very high population of moose
  • A physically easy hunt, no swamps to wade through, or rivers to navigate or horses to ride
  • A high success rate on decent bulls with the possibility for a real trophy bull
  • A combination hunt with elk for the bowhunts
  • The likelihood of seeing 30 moose a day on the rifle hunts

Bow and rifle hunters get an opportunity to hunt these magnificent beasts of the north. Bowhunters will get the first chance each season at the best bulls hunting them in the pre-rut in August and September. The hunting methods will be a mix of calling, spot and stalk and tree stand hunting over waterholes and natural salt licks. The rifle hunts are done as a rut hunt in late September or as a late season hunt in early November. Both are excellent times for a good 35 to 45 inch moose and the possiblity for a 50 incher.

The number of moose in this zone is unbelievable and all the good moose areas are relatively easy to access. The trophy quality has been getting better every year since it was recently put on a limited draw for resident hunters.

Contact us about our trophy moose hunt. Give Mike a call or send him an email. Please be sure to visit our photo gallery and website!

Alberta's top moose outfitter 5 years in a row!
    2006, #1 Alberta Rifle Moose - 193 1/8 B&C
    2005, #1 Alberta Archery Moose - 180 P&Y
    2005, #1 ALberta Rifle Moose - 190 1/8 B&C
    2001, #1 Alberta Rifle Moose - 206 B&C

Wild Kakwa Outfitters offers first class hunts in the scenic wilderness of northwest Alberta.

Archery Moose hunts are September 19-23rd.
This is a 5 day hunt during the early rut. Hunters will be hunting on foot and from stands over mineral springs. The Bulls are very territorial and will come in close when they are challenged. Your guide will call using Bull grunts and cow moose mating calls to bring the bull into 20-50 yards. Hunters should be able to shoot accurately out to 50 yards and a range finder is recommended. Our goal is to call Pope and Young Bulls into 40 yards or less for an exciting hunt. Success on Archery hunts ranges from 50-100% kill and over 75-100% opportunity.

Rifle Moose rut hunts are 8 days, September 25th to October 20th.
Our Rifle rut hunts are very exciting because the bulls are very aggressive and respond well to cow calls. We will be duplicating the cow moose mating call in areas with high densities of moose and high bull to cow ratios. We have consistently out performed other outfitters, the last 9 years we have guided 112 moose rut hunters and have harvested 109 bull moose. Last fall we guided 16 moose rut hunters and harvested 15 bulls, 8 bulls were trophy class bulls 45-55 inches wide with huge palms and lots of long points. Bruce Rowe from Wisconsin shot the #1 moose in Alberta on a guided hunt with us. The bull was called in to 20 yards and he took him using a .50 caliber Thompson Center Encore Rifle.

November Moose hunts are 6 days, Nov. 1-30.
This is a spot and stalk hunt in an area with very high densities of Bull Moose. Last fall we guided 2 hunters for moose in November. Richard Merrill and his son Max both harvested the first bulls they saw. They killed 42'' and 36'' bulls. We combo this hunt with wolf. Success ranges from 50-100% kill and over 400% opportunity.

We provide very comfortable camps. We use 14X16 wall tents with hard wood floors, large bunks and propane heaters. Our tents are very roomy with 4 hunters per tent. You will be warm, comfortable and dry. We also provide home cooked meals and hot water showers.

We are a dedicated group of professionals with many years of guiding and hunting experience. We will do our best to provide you with a worthy trophy and the hunt of a lifetime.

We are now offering November Post Rut Moose hunts! Our moose hunting area is located in WMU 544, in the famous Peace River country in northwestern Alberta, Canada. This is prime moose habitat producing trophy class antlers. The average antler spread is 35-45 inches, with spreads over 50 inches possible.

This hunt takes place in November, or post-rut. This is a great time to hunt Alberta moose as the moose have finished rutting and are concentrated in feeding areas. Leaves are gone and moose are easy to spot in their wintering grounds. Our hunts offer opportunities at many of the larger bulls with snow allowing for tracking into the hot spots. Late season moose hunts are for the hardy hunter looking for a large bull.

Our hunts take place in the remote, backcountry in logged cutovers, near lakes, natural salt licks, cut-lines and beaver dams. Moose prefer these areas for the solitude, the food, and the abundance of water. We use pickups or quads to transport you into prime moose hunting areas. Hunting may also include sitting stands and calling with more emphasis on covering some ground and locating bulls within rifle range.

The number of moose in this zone is unbelievable and are relatively easy to access. The trophy quality has been getting better every year since it was recently put on a limited draw for resident hunters. You may see up to 20 or 30 moose, including cows and calves, per day in your search for a big bull.

We are committed to a policy of 100% "fair chase" and stress principles and ethics above all else. Please contact us for more information or to book your moose hunt with us.

Alberta Wilderness Adventures provides top quality moose hunts to clients who not only want a trophy moose but also want a thrilling fun filled hunting vacation.

By hunting the prime of the rutting season I have been able to consistently offer 100% opportunity and 95% kill rate on these monsters. We have taken moose with racks in the low 60s but an average spread will be in the mid 40s range. I take 14 hunters per season and run 3 hunts, each hunt is during the rut season giving you the best times only to take your trophies. For archery moose we like to hunt as early as possible (late Aug.) over natural salt lick and springs.

A combination of natural salt licks, logging blocks, small lakes, seismic lines and timbered areas provide a choice of hunting methods. For the extra thrill of the hunt we like to call in your trophy. This is a very exciting and successful hunt.

Our hunting camp is designed for comfort and hunting. Heated cabins with bunks and mattresses, a hot water shower, a cookhouse with a cook and great food, all set in a spacious setting. For added spice an evening campfire will be blazing for those who wish to trade tales of their days events.

I care about you and your hunt so I don’t take endless numbers of hunters in over hunted areas. My permits are limited giving everyone excellent chances at tagging the trophy of their dreams.

We hunt our Moose in the World famous Peace River Country. It is known for having one of the highest Moose densities in North America. Our Moose hunts have been very popular. Due to the Alberta’s management of Moose, we have been taking higher quality animals each year. Every year we are taking Moose in the 50” + range with our largest being 63”.

We have three different hunts to choose from. We hunt in the archery only season from late August to mid September. During this time we concentrate on the prime feeding areas, game trails, natural mineral “licks”, and other prime habitat showing fresh Moose activity. We also hunt during the rut in late September to mid October. During this time we call them in. Hearing their deep grunt as they respond is every bit as exciting as the bugle of a bull elk. Our final hunt is a November hunt. At this time we hunt them by spot and stalk. The lack of leaves and the presence of snow make them easier to spot and locate. All of these hunts are high quality hunts and we take big bulls on all of them.

Make your dream hunt a reality. As an avid hunter myself, I am experienced enough to make your hunt both successful and enjoyable. I enjoy working hard and look forward to providing opportunities for trophy Moose.

If a quality Moose hunt is what you want, please give us a call so we can provide more information.

Hunting Moose in Northwestern Alberta Canada with Wild Alberta High Country Outfitters will be an adventure you won't forget. Hunt trophy moose in some of the best hunting areas in Alberta where you will have an excellent opportunity at bringing home a real trophy.

Our Moose hunts take place in Northern Alberta 2½ hours north of Grande Prairie. The Moose have been rising in population due to our lack of hard winters. The antler spread ranges on average from 35” to high 40”. We have harvested more mature bulls in the 50” to 55” range in the past couple of years. We offer great opportunities during the rut to bag one of these monsters. These moose hunts are mainly spot and stalk, hunting out of the tree stands over springs and licks. Our success rate in 2005 was 100% and our success rate in 2006 was 90%. Everyone had an opportunity to take a bull, they either missed their shot or chose to pass up the bull to see if they could get a bigger one.

The first three moose hunters will receive a complimentary Mule Deer Allocation, free of charge, so if you bag your moose early, your hunt is not over so soon.

We offer you excellent hunting opportunities in Alberta. With our years of experience both guiding and outfitting, we will do everything possible to provide you with a hunt of a lifetime. Contact us to book your next moose hunting trip in Alberta.

Bent Arrow Outfitters offers the finest in quality bowhunting adventures for trophy moose. We are bowhunting specialists and truly enjoy guiding other bowhunters. We have the knowledge and expertise to guide you to a successful moose hunting experience.

Our bowhunting area is located 2 hours north west of Edmonton, Alberta along the Athabasca River in the boreal forest zone. Hunters are allowed to take one bull moose per license. The average moose taken in our area has an antler spread of between 25 to 40 inches with bulls in the 50 inch category a distinct possibility. The moose rut typically runs the last week of September and the first two weeks of October.

Our archery rut bowhunts are conducted by calling, spot and stalk, or stand hunting at mineral licks or wallows. These methods have proven to be successful for taking moose by our bowhunters. Our stands are portable and will be 20 to 40 yards from a lick. Calling in a bull during the rut is a tremendous rush and is a hunting experience all hunters should enjoy.

All terrain vehicles are used to access this remote hunt camp. Camp consists of spacious and comfortable canvas wall tents. Each tent will have a wood burning stove, camp cots, and lights. Moose hunting camp will be limited to three or four hunters per week. We provide the hunter with a comfortable, enjoyable wilderness camp experience and to that end hunters are encouraged to participate in day to day camp and hunt activities.

Here in the North we measure the antlers of the bull moose in feet not inches. The biggest bull moose shot in my moose hunting camp had an antler spread of six feet. The 50" plus bulls are common, and if you don't shoot one, the guy beside you will. You will be hunting the biggest game animal in North America.

We hunt in the moose capital of Alberta. Some of our guides have worked for the Discovery channel calling moose for them. This is one hunt you need quality guides and good habitat to be successful. We also do a November hunt on snow machines which is the most fun hunt you'll ever have. The success rates in November are better than calling season.

All of my moose hunts are done with ATV'S. They play a major part of the hunt, as the only way into camp is a one and a half hour ride by ATV from the drop-off point. This puts you into the most remote areas in which the old trophy moose live. The biggest moose to date is just over 60" B & C. Commonly shot are the 50" plus bulls. This hunt is not a physical hunt we've had hunters in wheelchairs hunt with 100% success every time.

Alberta offers some of the best moose hunting in the world. The current World Record Shiras moose had a 61” spread and scored 461 7/8 SCI. Our Alberta Western Canada moose record scored 226 7/8 B&C.

There are 1,900 moose allocations in Alberta consisting of 1,615 rifle and 285 archery. THA owns 57 allocations representing over 3% of the provincial moose allocations. Our large number of permits, in an extensive range of territories, gives us the flexibility to provide you with the right moose hunt for your physical capabilities, experience and aspirations.

We offer both archery and rifle moose hunts in south-western and west-central Alberta during the annual late-September/early-October rut, as well as during the highly productive weeks of November.

As Alberta’s largest, most prominent and successful big game outfitter, we have the flexibility to custom design the right hunt for you. All camps are small (usually 2 man) and accommodations, food, guides, support staff, equipment and hunting area are excellent.

In 2002, THA won the coveted APOS Award for the “Largest Moose - Archery” on an outfitted hunt, the second consecutive year that THA has won such an award. There are only eight of these awards annually, out of 425 Alberta outfitters, THA is consistently recognized as one of the absolute best outfitters in the business.

We offer archery moose & whitetail deer hunts in North Central Alberta in WMU 505 & 507, and wilderness moose hunts in remote areas of northern Alberta.

Archery Moose & Whitetail Combo Hunts:
The hunt consists of 6 or 10 days of hunting. The prime moose rut is the last week of September and first week of October. Our hunting area is mixed farmland and bush. There are several large tracts of bush which have good moose populations. The moose have also adapted to the farmland quite well and are often seen in the open. Our guides are experience bow hunters and have harvested many moose and whitetail deer with a bow. ATV's may be used for hunting purposes to transport the hunters deeper into the hunting area. Shots are often at close range as the moose often approach the hunter head on. We generally strive to give the hunter a 100% opportunity which we consider to be a moose within 25 yards.

We will generally hunt moose in the morning by calling. In the evenings we will hunt whitetails from treestands or blinds. The whitetails are usually hunted as they travel from bedding to feeding areas and are better patterned in the evenings. Our area is well known for its many trophy whitetails and good opportunities exist to harvest a record class buck.

    Wilderness Moose Hunts:
We have just added a new moose hunt in a very remote wilderness area. The guide for this area has had 100% success during the past 6 years on rifle moose hunts (max 4 hunters). The rifle hunts are 10 days and the archery hunts are 12 days. The moose are hunted during the rut by calling and spot & stalk and at mineral licks. A good number of 50" plus bulls are being seen. A comfortable tent camp is located deep in the woods accessible by 4-wheelers. Black bear combo can be added for a trophy fee and cost of the license.

We pride ourselves in being experienced and credible hunting outfitters and guides, providing the maximum effort to our clients. Join us for a magnificent hunting experience.

Moose hunts are one of the most fun and exciting hunts offered in North America especially during the rut season when huge bulls can be called within very close range by experienced guides. Big bulls may approach so quietly that you hardly know they’re close or they come charging in like a freight train oblivious to anything in their path!! Either way is guaranteed to test your adrenaline level.

Our trophy moose measure over 45" average and our success rate is 90% or better. Our moose hunting camps are comfortable wall tents equipped with wood heaters and cots to sleep on and great meals are provided by our camp cook. Camps are set up in remote wilderness areas where there is little pressure from other hunters and lots of prime moose habitat.

We use ATV’s to get to prime areas and quite often spend time walking, sitting and calling. Most of the terrain we hunt is flat and not physically demanding. We hunt logging blocks, lakes, willow flats and cut-lines. Some hunting is done from tree stands over feeding areas or natural salt/mineral licks.

Rut hunts are offered from mid-September to the end of October. These are the most popular hunts and also the most successful hunts of the season.

Please contact us for more information or to book your next moose hunt with us.

We offer top quality moose hunts in Alberta's most remote, untouched wilderness on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. Our moose hunts are in secluded areas where there is little hunting pressure. If you want a good chance at a 50" plus moose we have the hunt for you.

Our 7 day, all inclusive moose hunts are during the rut in late September and early October. We hunt by calling the big bulls in close. To have a moose come to a call is one of the most exciting moments you can ever have hunting. The moose in our hunting area can grow to 60" and can be very spectacular with three or four wolf catchers in front. With patience you have a very good chance at a trophy bull.

We also offer a limited number of November moose hunts. Add a whitetail deer to make a great combination hunt.

Our local guides and I will have the best hunting spots located and ready to hunt. With constant monitoring and scouting, we are completely devoted to giving our best effort to make your moose hunting trip an unforgettable and successful one. Our spots are so secluded we rarely see another hunter.

We stay in tent camps situated off the beaten path and right where the moose are living. You stay will be warm and dry and enjoy great food. We also have the option of staying our lodge in Grande Cache.

Our area has a great mix of big game. Rifle and archery hunters can combine moose hunts with whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, black bear and wolf. At Extreme Wilderness we take great pride in offering a complete wilderness experience.

These hunts are conducted in the Southern zone along with our whitetail and mule deer hunts. We will be looking at expanding these hunts to offer another option for our hunters in the Northern Alberta Zone.

Our moose hunts can either be during the rut in archery season, or in November during rifle season. These are primarily Canada moose and they will average about 36 inches, we took a 44 inch Moose last year 2007 and a 40 inch Moose with a bow in 2008. We will see some that will approach 50 inches but that is good for our area.

We have access on some pretty good moose habitat along creeks and willow bogs. We also will catch them on the alfalfa fields if we get some cold weather in November. We do both blind hunting and drives when we are hunting these big fellows.

This hunt can also be taken in combination with a whitetail deer if you desire. We can also customize your hunt and lengthen it more than the usual 6 days if you wish to spend a little more time on both species.

Our moose hunters will stay at our farm in the foothills of South Central Alberta. We have a comfortable hunting cabin to stay in and you will enjoy delicious home cooked meals while on your hunt. Usually it will be only you and your hunting partner in camp while you are hunting with us.

If you would like a reasonably priced hunt and a good chance to take a nice bull like I have described give us a call.

Our Moose hunts take place in the forests of Northern Alberta about 3 hours north of Edmonton. Our area has an excellent population of moose with the trophy potential being very high. The area is a combination of forests and muskeg swamps that the moose love.
This hunt takes place in the first week of November right after the rut has ended.

We concentrate our hunting efforts using a spot and stalk method. We will do plenty of glassing and driving the many cut lines to find the moose and then stalk in on them for the shot. This is not a very physical hunt but hunters should be in fairly good shape as they may be required to hike several miles to get into a shooting position. To be successful hunters need to be patient and trust their guide. We are very confident in our area and our staff. Lost Guide Outfitters is a small but Very Experienced operation, we have been in the outfitting business for over 20 years and have lived, ranched, trapped and hunted in this area for over 40 years.

    Mountain Horseback Moose Hunts:
Our mountain horseback moose hunts start on September 24 and run until the end of November. Our mountain area includes the upper Clearwater River Valley, Forbidden Creek and Lost Guide Lake. It is bordered by Banff National Park to the west and Ya-ha-Tinda ranch to the south. The upper portion of our area is closed to motorized vehicles and is accessible by horseback or team and wagon only. The moose are still in the rut in September and early October and hunting during this time can be quite successful. We have had good success the first couple of weeks in October. Our average size is 35-45 inches with some taken to 50 inches. Our success rate the last couple of years is about 75% Kill.

Due to the high altitude and early winter conditions we try to be out of our upper camp by the end of October. If you desire a late mountain hunt we would hunt the lower end of our mountain area until the end of November, which is accessible by ATV.

    Ranchland Moose Hunts:
Ranchland moose hunts take place from November 1-November 30. These hunts are on and around our ranch which is located on the edge of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains northwest of Calgary. These moose hunts are 6 day spot and stalk hunts. Our average size is about 30-40 inches and we have had good success the last few years.

We have lived here for many years and we know the area very well. We have access to some very good private and public land. This is a very exciting hunting experience with a lot of big bull moose in the area. Accommodations are at my ranch or a nearby guest ranch, depending on the number in your party.

If you want a truly personalized hunt you need to hunt with Lost Guide Outfitters. Please contact us at the phone number, email address or mailing address supplied.

Your hosts are Gunther & Zabrina. We live where we hunt and are very fortunate to live in an area rich in wildlife. We are a small operation personally attending every hunt we offer. We specialize in archery hunts and take great pride in running a first class hunt.

We specialize in guided moose bowhunting in the remote wilderness of Alberta Canada.

    Moose Rut Bowhunts
The North-Western region of Alberta holds an abundance of Moose. This region consists predominately of dense Aspen mixed-wood forests which provides perfect habitat for Moose to thrive in. Moose bow hunters have experienced nearly 100% opportunity and an archery harvest success rate of 50%. The common 2 year old bull moose will have antler spreads between 35"- 40", and a mature bull moose will be between 40"- 55".

We hunt from a comfortable wall tent camp accessed by ATV's. Hunting method is to walk and call looking for bulls who want to reply. At this time bulls in search of cows are extremely responsive to calling. Once we get a response we set the hunter out in front of the caller. Hunters looking for an opportunity to experience the rush of calling in big game animals at close range need not look further.

Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada, Longview is home to some of the finest Shiras moose hunting anywhere.

What makes Lazy "H" Outfitters different?
The business is owned and operated by four friends with a love for the outdoors. Each friend brings a different set of expertise to the business. Jason Nunn is the U.S. connection. He and his partner Alan Lively are both seasoned hunters. Jason will make sure that everything runs smoothly from the time you book your hunt until you arrive in Canada. Alan, owner of one of the largest cattle auctions in Alberta, will take over when you hit the ground in Calgary and make sure all your needs are met. The other partners are Cam, Kyle, and Jason Nelson who are some of the most respected men and hunters in this area. Carrying on the family tradition as ranchers, they help the Nelson's gain access to some of the most desired hunting spots in Alberta.

Rifle Moose Hunts and Moose Bowhunts
Our moose Bowhunts take place in September and rifle moose in November on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, along the foothills which is prime habitat for the Shiras Moose. You will hunt along watersheds, natural mineral licks and boggy bush country. The terrain will vary from poplar/spruce ridges to dense, boggy willow patches, which the moose love. You will have an excellent opportunity at seeing moose every day. Our guides have lived and hunted in this area their whole lives; they know the land as well as the moose. The guides will do their best to get you within range of your trophy. In this area there are minimal point requirements for the antlers, low hunting pressure and successful tag management which leave a lot of room for excellent trophy potential.

Get the thrill of a lifetime with big game hunting. Experience remote quad trails, comfortable lodging and good quality game. Enjoy memorable and exhilarating moose hunting adventures in Northern Alberta.

    Archery Only Moose Hunts
Our moose hunt typically starts by taking ATV’s to our remote cabin which stands on the banks of Little Buffalo River. Moose bowhunts are spot and stalk in late August while their antlers are still in velvet. We do a lot of preseason scouting and setting up stands in areas where there has been a lot of moose activity. We try to bring the moose in range from 25-60 yards to get you the best shot opportunity.

Rut Moose Hunt with Rifle or Bow:
The rut season begins late September and ends early October. The river hunts or quad hunts take place in northern Alberta in remote areas. The average moose antlers range from 30-50” wide. Most of our hunting is done from tree stands calling in moose into gun and bow range. We offer 6 days of hunting but longer or shorter hunts can be arranged.

In 2007 we had 100% success, with one hunter taking a trophy moose with a 46 1/2" spread within the first 2 hours of the first day of his hunt. He went home a very happy hunter. We have a limited number of spaces available so booking early is recommended.

Moose hunts include wolf and coyote hunts and there is no limit on the number of wolves and coyotes you can take. We will also combine your moose hunt with our fall spot and stalk black bear hunts.

We have comfortable cabin accommodations in the bush equipped with beds, wood heater a good food supply and more. There is a shower house outside for anyone to use. Clean towels will be supplied daily. Food will be served at about noon every day and a hearty meal prepared when you return from your hunt. Snacks or lunch can be packed to take along since some hunts are a little further away from the cabin than others. There will be a full time cook at camp and light housekeeping done every day.

So come on out to the spectacular beauty of northern Alberta and fulfill all your hunting fantasies! With wonderful lodging remote bush area and quality game, you'll be sure to have a wonderful time hunting with us.

We have a very limited Shiras moose hunt (two archery and one rifle). The archery hunt is done during the 2nd or 3rd week of September. It's a two on one hunt, as we tree stand hunt over mineral licks, as well as spot and stalk, and call. The rifle hunt is in the prime rut, one on one, about the first week of October.

We offer trophy quality, top-notch guides & high success rates. We will make your hunt enjoyable & successful. We specialize in creating personalized combination hunts in the Rocky Mountains, foothills and prairies of southern Alberta. We are proud of our reputation for excellent trophy quality, top notch guides and high success rates. We offer hunts for trophy mule deer, whitetails, moose, elk, awesome antelope, cougars (mountain lions), and bears. We have guaranteed licenses for all species, meaning no draws to enter.

Cougar hunting in Alberta takes place during the winter months of December, January and February. Although the average time to harvest a cougar on our hunts is 5-6 days, we like our hunters to allow for a 10 day hunt. We like to give ample time to ensure the greatest chance of success.

Mule Deer Hunts and Combo Whitetail/Mule Deer Hunts: Our prairie deer hunting is a three-day combination whitetail and mule deer hunt. Although there are good whitetails, these areas are best known for their trophy mule deer. Our mountain zone hunts begins in late September and continues through the end of November. The most productive time to hunt whitetails is the last week of October, when they increase their pre-rut activity. This is when we begin to hunt whitetail deer and mule deer together on our popular six-day combination hunt.

Our rifle elk hunts begin in September during the peak of the rut. We hunt on horseback and on foot, glassing and calling. This exciting hunt is in a limited entry area with a 6 point minimum (on one antler) rule, which ensures that mature trophy bulls are available.

Our rifle moose hunts begin in September during the peak of the rut. This hunt is conducted in the same area as our elk hunt and similar hunting methods are used. You can combine mule deer, whitetails or black bear with this hunt. Our moose are classified as Shiras moose by Safari Club International and as Canada moose by the Boone & Crockett Club. We have an excellent offer for bowhunters with an elk and moose combination hunt beginning in early in September, at the beginning of the elk rut.

6 day spring black bear hunts run from late April to early May. This is a spot and stalk hunt in an area with a high percentage of color phase bears. Fall black bear season runs from early September until they den, which is usually early November. This is a spot and stalk hunt.

Pronghorn antelope hunts have been very successful, with an average harvest size of 15". We offer a 5 day hunt to ensure ample time to see numerous trophy antelope.

Wingshooting: We offer wingshooting both as an option on big game hunts and as a stand alone activity.
Our bird hunts are 1 - 6 days in length. A wide array of opportunities are available for both waterfowl and upland birds. Our favorite is upland birds over a gun dog. Several species of grouse, plus pheasants and Gray (Hungarian) partridge are available.

    Moose Hunting in Alberta

Bull moose can weigh over 1000 lbs and stand 7.5 ft.at the shoulder with antlers that can measure as much as 6 ft.from tip to tip. Outfitters in Alberta have harvested moose that range in size to 1500 pounds or more and yield antlers in the 45-50 inch range with the top end of mature bull moose in the 60 inch class. Canada moose hunting is amazing due to Alberta's new moose management program ensuring that overharvest is not a problem. What this means for the moose hunter is better quantity and quality - many of which have made the Boone & Crockett record book!

Most of the prime moose hunting in Alberta is along the foothills in central Alberta heading north to the Northwest Territories border. In Alberta, moose are common throughout the foothills, mountain and boreal forest zone and have been increasing in the parkland and prairies. Moose prefer muskegs, brushy meadows and small groves of aspen or coniferous trees, particularly where such habitat adjoins lakes, ponds or streams. Moose hunts can take place in feeding areas, logged blocks, natural mineral licks, lakes, cutlines and riverbanks as well. The habitat for moose is plentiful.

Moose hunting begins in late August and in some zones run through mid December. However, most hunts occur in mid September through early October when the rut is in full swing. Those who have experienced it will tell you that calling a trophy bull and watching him approach you is a real adreniline rush! Spot and stalk becomes the norm for moose hunting throughout the Province once the rut is over. You can still get record book trophy bulls after the rut has ended as they become more mobile and predictable. Alberta is a moose hunters paradise.

Anyone contemplating moose hunting in Alberta should come fully prepared for extremes weather and terrain because of the rugged habitats the moose live in. Many moose hunting zones are only accessible by float planes and hunts are done out of boats or in remote areas in canoes, "calling" the moose to the shoreline. These hunts are true northern adventures and not for the weary. Where access is available, moose hunts can be conducted on quads, argos, even on horseback in the foothills region
