Alberta Whitetail Deer Hunting
Our region features a vast population of quality mule deer hunting, elk hunting, antelope hunting, whitetail deer hunting and black bear hunting. Having the Rocky Mountains as our western boundary then flowing down into the rolling foothills, allows for multiply hunting opportunities. Whether you enjoy riding on horseback, quadding the back trails, hiking the rolling hills or scouting the area from the pick-up, our location caterers to all ages and physical abilities.

Mule Deer Hunts
Southern Alberta has rapidly become the choice destination for trophy mule deer hunters. With easy winters, mixed farm and grasslands, limited tags and private land are area can grow trophy bucks. At Centerfire Outfitters we strive to harvest only mature bucks this ensures quality hunts year after year. One can expect to see 15 bucks a day with an opportunity to harvest a trophy buck in the 165-190” range during the rifle rut hunts. Bowhunting these trophy bucks in their bachelor groups can be challenging but very rewarding. While being such an early hunt, bucks haven’t had any pressure yet which allows for greater stalking and shooting opportunities.

Elk Hunts
We have two unique elk hunts, one is our mountain hunt which is a 6 day archery hunt during the peak rut and the late season hunt is a combination hunt with rifle mule deer. We like to run these hunts the end of November allowing for snow to bring the elk herds down and onto the rolling hills. Both are spot and stalk hunts. Weather permitting both areas can offer premier fair chase elk hunts.

Antelope Hunts
Everyone is beginning to learn that southeastern Alberta is becoming known to produce trophy class pronghorns. We are hunting three trophy WMU’s that are combined as one with a very limited number of tags available. Our antelope hunting area consists of a mix of farmland, coulees, grasslands and rolling prairies. Antelope flourish in these three WMU’s. One may look over multiple bucks before choosing a trophy of a life time. We do a five day hunt the middle of October to maximize your chance at harvesting a trophy class pronghorn. We have had 100% success rate harvesting all bucks over 15” in length and scoring high 70’s to low 80’s. This trophy Antelope hunt is a great add on either to a archery spot and stalk mule deer hunt or a trophy rifle mule deer hunt.

Whitetail Deer Hunts
This hunt is a combination hunt with rifle mule deer. This hunt starts the first part of November allowing for great whitetails to be seen and taken. Though not as plentiful as our mule deer, these whitetails are scattered in small pockets throughout our area. We like to hunt these whitetails during the peak rut. This allows for the best chance at harvesting a mature whitetail. One can expect to harvest a 130”-150” class whitetail.

Black Bear Hunts
We offer only two hunts a year in south western Alberta, in a non baiting zone. This hunt is strictly spot and stalk in the mountains and foothills. We have the only two tags in our zone, so with it being non baited there is no resident pressure and there are no other non residents hunting the area. Not only can the bear hunting be very successful but our area has two world renowned fly fishing rivers that can be accessed daily.
