Alberta Whitetail Deer Hunting
At Grizzly Trail Guiding and Outfitting Ltd. we invite you to share in some of the finest Whitetail Deer hunting in Alberta. Over the years, Alberta has gained a reputation throughout North America for its massive deer size and antler quality. Our hunts are in November of each year which is when the Whitetail Deer rut is at its peak in Alberta. For years, we have provided our hunters with great opportunities on trophy class Whitetail Deer. We look forward to sharing a hunting adventure with you! At Grizzly Trail Guiding and Outfitting Ltd. we hunt Whitetail Deer in prime habitat where the farmland meets the boreal forest in the beautiful Athabasca River area. The animals here get the best of the feed while still having the comforts of cover. These large bodied animals weigh close to 300lbs. The majority of the deer are harvested are in the 145 to 165 range with some going upwards of 200 B&C. Our Whitetail Deer hunt takes place in stands; both enclosed and heated, as well as, open stands and ground blinds. We accomodate both bow and rifle hunters. All Whitetail hunts are 10 days long and begin on November 1st and run to the 30th. Each hunt is guided by Leo or Hugh.

The Grizzly Trail region offers superb hunting within an easy drive of Edmonton, Alberta. The trail runs north from the mixed farming area of Barrhead, through the rugged spruce and pine of Swan Hills, through miles of muskeg, to the rolling breakers and white sands of Lesser Slave Lake. This area of uncompromising beauty presents the sportsman with an opportunity to hunt a wide variety of species. The area boasts a plentiful supply of black bear, moose, whitetail and mule deer with some of the finest genetics. Grizzly Trail Guiding and Outfitting Ltd. has access to virtually all of the private land in its namesake, as well as a huge pasture of 33,000 acres. To ensure that future generations can enjoy our industry, we believe in sound game management practices with minimal footprint to the environment.
Grizzly Trail Guiding and Outfitting Ltd. is a family-run company located west of Barrhead, 75 miles northwest of Edmonton, Alberta. Most of our hunts are conducted right from home, complete with the finest home-style cooking prepared by Rita. We provide comfortable camp facilities and will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a satisfying and successful hunt.
