Duck hunting & goose hunting in the heart of Alberta Canada's Central,
Mississippi and Pacific Flyways!
We have access to
over 25,000 acres of cultivated and crop land which makes for incredible
duck hunting & goose hunting opportunities! Wild Goose Guiding Ltd. is located in East Central Alberta, Canada, 120 miles southeast of Edmonton. This is an area used predominantly for agriculture. Hardisty is located in the Battle River Valley, with our main headquarters and lodge are on the shores of beautiful Armstrong Lake.
The abundance of pea and cereal grain fields
has created some of the most exciting and ideal waterfowl hunting in the
Central, Mississippi and Pacific flyways of Alberta, Canada for ducks
and geese. The area boasts Greater Canada Geese up to 14 pounds. With
such ideal feeding grounds, huge flocks will remain from September 1st
until mid November. During September and October there is a large migration
of White-fronted geese, Blue and Snow geese, in addition to the big Canada's
and Green-head Mallard ducks and Pintail ducks, providing a great variety
of waterfowl hunting opportunities.
The actual hunting takes place in pea
and grain fields, with a large spread of quality decoys and a fully
portable blind. Often mallard ducks and pintail ducks are coming into
the same fields as the geese which makes duck hunting even better! Hunters
will be grouped a minimum four to six (4-6) to a hunt. If you
have any preferences or special requests we will be happy to accommodate
you to make your stay enjoyable and memorable.
After the hunt we will return to the lodge for a delicious home cooked
dinner and an evening of relaxation. Our lodge is located right on Armstrong
Lake where you will have the opportunity to see thousands of local and
migrating Canada geese and ducks. You can enjoy a relaxing evening in
our sauna or playing a game or two of pool. We can accommodate up to 12
hunters comfortably if you have a large group.
We offer 3, 5 and 6 - day waterfowl hunting trips.

Mike has been guiding for 27 years and took over the business in 2005 from his parents John and Koreen, who started the business in the early 1970's.
